Your journey begins with a short, 30-minute drive from Drake Bay into breathtaking primary forest. Upon arrival, you’ll put on your hiking shoes and embark on a roughly one-hour walk through the wilderness, where your first views of the verdant jungle full of life are waiting for you. You’ll be rewarded with a hidden waterfall deep in the forest – the perfect place for a swim and a small snack of fresh fruit.
Bathe in the crystal clear water of the waterfall, surrounded by the sounds of nature. After a refreshing swim, you put on a life jacket and let yourself drift down the river. Along the way you can see exotic animals – playful monkeys, colourful lizards and various tropical birds.
After your aquatic adventure, you’ll enjoy an approximately 45-minute walk to a nearby beach where you’ll be treated to a hearty lunch. Afterwards, hop in the car and head back to town.
Please note: The hike is not entirely easy – during the rainy season the terrain can be slippery and challenging due to the nature of the primary rainforest.
