Take a half-day trip to the magical Caño Island – one of the best snorkeling spots in all of Costa Rica. An underwater world full of life, crystal clear water, colourful corals, schools of tropical fish – and maybe even a dolphin or whale encounter during your cruise

What’s in store for you?

Depart Drake Bay at 6:45 in the morning and after about 40 minutes you will arrive at the protected Caño Island. This is followed by two snorkeling adventures (about 45 minutes each) in different locations – each time with a guide who will take you to the best spots full of life.

Between snorkeling legs, you’ll rest on an island for a light snack and time to explore the surrounding area – including a nice vantage point overlooking the ocean. Upon returning to the mainland, you’ll end the trip with a shared lunch at a restaurant in Drake Bay.

What to bring:

  • Spare T-shirt or UV shirt for snorkeling (protection from sun and jellyfish)
  • Swimsuit, hat or cap, waterproof sandals or water shoes
  • Sunglasses, reef-safe sunscreen
  • Waterproof camera or GoPro to capture underwater moments
